There is a new story coming out in California where naturalized hispanic citizens are receiving letters that state they will be deported if they vote. A GOP candidate for the House (himself a Vietnamese immigrant) is the main focus of the investigation. Part of the letter, (translated from Spanish) reads: “You are advised that if your residence in this country is illegal or you are an immigrant, voting in a federal election is a crime that could result in jail time.”
