Woman finds 1.3 carat diamond at Crater of Diamonds

For those that don’t know, Crater of Diamonds is a state park in Arkansas. It’s the world’s only diamond site open to the public. You’re allowed to go there and look for rocks and whatever you find you can keep, no matter if it is a diamond, pebble, or whatever. Normally, people don’t find anything or only find tiny diamonds. But a 1.3 carat diamond is a pretty big find. It’s only $6 for adults and $3 for kids over 6, and if you don’t have your own tools they’ll rent you some.

  1. I thought there was another field in PA somewhere, not that it matters.

The only reason this is even possible is because of the international diamond cartel; if you don’t join and submit to their rules, they flood the market until what you have is worthless.
