EC could have prevented her pregnancy. It’s a damned shame every doctor for a hundred miles around her is a bigoted asshole who shouldn’t be allowed to practice medicine. People in this country need to get their noses out of other people’s bedrooms already. Is that really so much to ask?!

And anti-abortionists generally don’t give a shit about human life in any other context. They are really just anti-sex, and that is why they are against anything that makes sex safer and less likely to result in babies, which they view as a woman’s punishment for having sex (their view of children is truly ironic). Not saying this applies to EVERY anti-abortion person, but it is common.

I posted this at Netscape about the SD abortion controversy. Is this what you had in mind?

The issue that concerns me is that if women are not allowed dominion over their bodies and are excluded from decisions about their own fertility, they are still second class citizens, inferior to the point that they (still) cannot be trusted with their own bodies and sexuality. That we somehow still need men (ha, talk about the fox guarding the henhouse!) to help us govern our wickedness and inferiority.

I feel so bad for the Biting Beaver!
