So that’s why I don’t like soy
There’s a slow poison out there that’s severely damaging our children and threatening to tear apart our culture ….
The dangerous food I’m speaking of is soy. Soybean products are feminizing, and they’re all over the place. You can hardly escape them anymore.
[…]
Soy is feminizing, and commonly leads to a decrease in the size of the penis, sexual confusion and homosexuality. That’s why most of the medical (not socio-spiritual) blame for today’s rise in homosexuality must fall upon the rise in soy formula and other soy products. (Most babies are bottle-fed during some part of their infancy, and one-fourth of them are getting soy milk!) Homosexuals often argue that their homosexuality is inborn because “I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t homosexual.” No, homosexuality is always deviant. But now many of them can truthfully say that they can’t remember a time when excess estrogen wasn’t influencing them.
Given this new data I am sure we will see Christian leaders apologizing for their previous vilification of homosexuals. It is, afterall, a chemical process they had no control over.

Somehow I don’t think the soy formula is going to make my daughter homosexual… and yes, let’s hold our breath until the christian leaders apologize, for ANYTHING.
It was proven many years ago that homosexuality in men often (or always?) accompanies a structural difference in the brain from heterosexual men. This difference makes the brain MORE like a woman’s brain. It can be caused by a trauma to the mother at the critical time while the fetus’s brain would otherwise make a change from a ‘female’ structure to a ‘male’ structure. I wish I had a link but I don’t.
The whole article actually only says soy makes boys gay, not girls. I don’t think James got it across very well, but the article is clearly a total load of crap.
Personally, I don’t care if homosexuality is a choice or not. Allowing gays to have the same rights as me, such as marriage, causes no harm to anyone and in fact would do a lot of good for a lot of people, so I am completely in favor of it. The only reason the choice issue even matters is because it is an attempt to convince unreasonable religious people to quit persecuting gays.
I believe true moral choices are those which do the most good and the least harm to people, not those which fit with a bunch of old myths.
I was kidding about it making my daughter gay! It was clear that it only referred to boys.
I don’t think the attempt to get unreasonable religious people to quit persecuting gays wil ever work, regardless of the facts discovered. At best they wil find new targets, like Muslims. We just have to gently phase out the extremists.
I always wondered how anyone could be conned by the ‘protect marriage’ argument!
I wanted to make the gay daughter joke, too, because my daughter also had soy formula.
And you’re right about religious extremists. You can not reason with someone whose entire world view is based on the opposite of reason.
