From WorldNut Daily:

There’s a slow poison out there that’s severely damaging our children and threatening to tear apart our culture ….

The dangerous food I’m speaking of is soy. Soybean products are feminizing, and they’re all over the place. You can hardly escape them anymore.

[…]

Soy is feminizing, and commonly leads to a decrease in the size of the penis, sexual confusion and homosexuality. That’s why most of the medical (not socio-spiritual) blame for today’s rise in homosexuality must fall upon the rise in soy formula and other soy products. (Most babies are bottle-fed during some part of their infancy, and one-fourth of them are getting soy milk!) Homosexuals often argue that their homosexuality is inborn because “I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t homosexual.” No, homosexuality is always deviant. But now many of them can truthfully say that they can’t remember a time when excess estrogen wasn’t influencing them.

Given this new data I am sure we will see Christian leaders apologizing for their previous vilification of homosexuals. It is, afterall, a chemical process they had no control over.

Quick, somebody alert the world’s Sunday School teachers! BTW, I love the picture of the Terminator listening to an iPod. I mean, wtf? And here’s the link to the original video, which was actually a slam against Bill-o. If they had actually bothered to read the YouTube posting they would have found out the little girl is an actress, and the video is an ad for a band.

…you know we are going in the wrong direction.

The US administration does not accept accountability before any organization, institution or council. The US administration has undermined the credibility of international organizations, particularly the United Nations and its Security Council. But, I do not intend to address all the challenges and calamities in this message.

The legitimacy, power and influence of a government do not emanate from its arsenals of tanks, fighter aircrafts, missiles or nuclear weapons. Legitimacy and influence reside in sound logic, quest for justice and compassion and empathy for all humanity. The global position of the United States is in all probability weakened because the administration has continued to resort to force, to conceal the truth, and to mislead the American people about its policies and practices.

Undoubtedly, the American people are not satisfied with this behavior and they showed their discontent in the recent elections. I hope that in the wake of the mid-term elections, the administration of President Bush will have heard and will heed the message of the American people.

My questions are the following:

Is there not a better approach to governance?

Is it not possible to put wealth and power in the service of peace, stability, prosperity and the happiness of all peoples through a commitment to justice and respect for the rights of all nations, instead of aggression and war?

We all condemn terrorism, because its victims are the innocent.

But, can terrorism be contained and eradicated through war, destruction and the killing of hundreds of thousands of innocents?

If that were possible, then why has the problem not been resolved?

The sad experience of invading Iraq is before us all.

War on Earth, Violence towards Men?

A homeowners’ association in southwestern Colorado has threatened to fine a resident $25 a day until she removes a Christmas wreath with a peace sign that some say is an anti-Iraq war protest or a symbol of Satan (emphasis added).

Some residents who have complained have children serving in Iraq, said Bob Kearns, president of the Loma Linda Homeowners Association in Pagosa Springs.

He said some residents believed the wreath was a symbol of Satan. Three or four residents complained, he said.

“Somebody could put up signs that say drop bombs on Iraq. If you let one go up you have to let them all go up,” he said in a telephone interview Sunday.

Lisa Jensen said she wasn’t thinking of the war when she hung the wreath. She said, “Peace is way bigger than not being at war. This is a spiritual thing.”

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry about this. Why is supporting peace anti-christian?

Losing control of Congress appears to have left the Republicans grasping for straws. A Republican-led panel in the Missouri legislature has discovered the true source of illegal immigration: abortions.

A Republican-led legislative panel says in a new report on illegal immigration that abortion is partly to blame because it is causing a shortage of American workers.

The report from the state House Special Committee on Immigration Reform also says that “liberal social welfare policies” have discouraged Americans from working and have encouraged immigrants to cross the border illegally.

The statements about abortion and welfare policies, along with a recommendation to abolish income taxes in favor of sales taxes, were inserted into the immigration report by Rep. Edgar G.H. Emery (R), the panel’s chairman.

All 10 Republican committee members signed the report, while the six Democrats did not. Some of the Democrats called the abortion assertion ridiculous and embarrassing.

At least they aren’t blaming homosexuals for once. Although it’s not too hard to substitute homosexuality for abortion on this logic train. “The lack of hetero sex caused by the gays has caused a drastic decrease in the American workforce.” This is also why I oppose alien abduction.

The person who had mailed a white powder to Keith Olbermann has been captured by the FBI. If you remember, the investigation was put in jeopardy by an article in the NY Post mocking Keith Olbermann’s (completely reasonable) response to opening the possibly deadly letter.. Apparently Olbermann was not the only person this kook targeted

The letters, which had fake return addresses, were received by Pelosi, a California Democrat who is in line to become speaker of the House; comedians Stewart and David Letterman; Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer of New York; and MSNBC host Keith Olberman.

Some letters, which were sent over the past three months to addresses in New York, New Jersey and San Francisco, included phrases like “Death to Demagogues” and pictures of victims of the 2004 Asian tsunami, authorities said.

The FBI said federal agents watched Castagana, of Los Angeles, walk from his home to a public mailbox Thursday and deposit several letters. One was allegedly addressed to someone previously targeted and contained the white powder.

It is, after all, the greatest problem facing the state of Arkansas. Or at least you’d think so after reading this Arkansas Republican news release:

REPUBLICAN NEWS RELEASE

Little Rock (Oct. 18, 2006): Today, the Republican Party of Arkansas dropped over 100,000 pieces of mail encouraging voters to “early vote” beginning next Monday, October 23rd.

The mail piece highlights the Democratic Party of Arkansas’ blatant attempt to appease the liberal faction of their party by removing the traditional definition of marriage (one man, one woman ONLY) from their party’s platform.

“The Democratic Party of Arkansas, led by Mike Beebe, has stated that protecting the sanctity of marriage is not a priority,” stated Clint Reed, Executive Director of the Arkansas GOP. “However, we believe that the definition of traditional marriage should always be a priority.”

“There is a fundamental difference between the Arkansas Democratic Party and the Republican Party of Arkansas on the definition of traditional marriage. Our position is principled, with conviction, and solvent. The Democratic Party’s position on traditional marriage is based on appeasement and political expediency.”

On Monday, Attorney General Candidate Dustin McDaniel came out in support of civil unions which would essentially extend the same legal status as marriage between a man and a woman.

“There is a pattern that cannot be ignored,” Reed continued. “First, Mike Beebe and the Democratic Party strip the traditional definition of marriage from their platform, and now Dustin McDaniel says he supports civil unions. The Democratic Party is out of touch.”

Oh, the horror! Homosexuals may be able to get health insurance, won’t somebody do something! I don’t really know what they hope to accomplish aside from fear-mongering. They already made it unconstitutional for them to get married (or form any kind of contract similar to it, like civil unions). I got a postcard in the mail a few weeks from Lt. Governor candidate Jim Holt that I wish I had kept (my wife wrote dirty notes on it and mailed it back to him). You’d have thought the 3rd Armored Flamers were poised to invade.

For those not from Arkansas, Jim Holt is like Rick Santorum, only more extremist. He is vehemently anti-evolution, anti-women’s rights, and anti-homosexual. He’s equated minimum wage laws and Head Start with the Soviet Union. He is so anti-immigrant that our Republican governor called his illegal immigration bill ““inflammatory… race-baiting and demagoguery.” He invited Ken Hovind (currently charged with 58 felony counts) to speak on the floor of the Legislature against evolution. He also has connections to Sun Myung Moon. He’s basically the worst of the Republican party rolled into one candidate.

This is a pretty good list of all his crazy: http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Jim_Holt.htm

This is on Salon’s site:

In an interview with the editorial board of the Bucks County Courier Times, embattled Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum has equated the war in Iraq with J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings.” According to the paper, Santorum said that the United States has avoided terrorist attacks at home over the past five years because the “Eye of Mordor” has been focused on Iraq instead.

“As the hobbits are going up Mount Doom, the Eye of Mordor is being drawn somewhere else,” Santorum said. “It’s being drawn to Iraq and it’s not being drawn to the U.S. You know what? I want to keep it on Iraq. I don’t want the Eye to come back here to the United States.”

Is he comparing living in the United States to living in Mordor?
